UPSEE stands for Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination which is a state level examination that provides UG & PG courses in the engineering, management, etc. It is commenced by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Candidates will get the admission in the field of engineering, architecture, pharmacy, hotel management & catering technology, fashion & apparel design, fine arts, management, etc. UPSEE was previously known as UPTU entrance exam. UPSEE Admission 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate needs to check his/her eligibility to ensure a smooth admission process in the desired course. The eligibility criteria for UPSEE admission is as follows-
B.Tech
- Candidate must have a 12th examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate)
B.Tech (Agri.)
- Candidate must have a 12th examination in Agriculture Discipline with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate)
B.Tech (Bio-Tech)
- Candidate must have a 12th examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate)
B.Arch
- Candidate must have a 12th examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry/Computer Science/Biology/Engineering Drawing /Technical Vocational subject with 50% marks in aggregate (45% marks for SC/ST category candidate)
B.Pharm
- Candidate must have a 12th examination with Physics & Mathematics and any one of the following: Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject with 45% marks in aggregate (40% marks for SC/ST category candidate)
MBA/MCA
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from the recognized institution with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category)
- In the case of MCA, candidates must have studied Mathematics either at graduation or 12th level with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST category)
BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/MAM
- Candidate must have a 12th/Intermediate examination in any stream with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST category) from a recognized university
For Admission to 2nd Year Courses
B.Pharm (LE)
- Candidate must have a Diploma in Pharmacy with a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40 marks for SC/ST candidates)
B.Tech (LE)
- Candidate must have passed 3-years diploma in engineering or B.Sc with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2 with minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying examination (40 marks for SC/ST candidates)
MCA (LE)
- Candidate must have a BCA, B.Sc (IT/ Computer Science) degree from a recognized institution with a minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination
UPSEE Admission 2025 Application Form
The following are the steps that the candidate must follow to apply for the UPSEE which is as follow-
- Visit the official website of the UPSEE- https://aktu.ac.in/
- Register on the website with your email Id, mobile number, name
- You have to fill the application form by navigating to the application form
- Some of the details that you must fill on the application form are Date of Birth, Category, Nationality, qualification details such as Year of Passing, Percentage of marks, etc, details to contact, and choice for the exam centre.
- Now click on the proceed button
- Now upload the necessary documents mentioned below
- A payment page asking for paying the application fee will appear. You can pay your application fee using a credit/debit card, UPI, Bank Challan, etc.
- A confirmation page will appear that you have to download the payment fee confirmation as well as the application fee for future use

Counselling
A counselling session will be organized for the candidates who have qualified for the entrance examination. Based on the merit list, the candidates will be offered different colleges to choose from. You can choose the colleges based on your liking, fees, location, etc. when appearing for the counselling session of a particular college, the candidate must provide relevant documents in original as well as a printout.
