About MCNUJC

Makhanlal Chaturvedi University is a public university established in the year 1992 by the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. 

It is known by other names as well Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Evam Sanchar Vishwavidyalaya or in short Makhanlal University (Mākhanlāl Viśvavidhālaya).

The university is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, and is named after a famous freedom fighter Makhan Lal Chaturvedi, a poet, and a journalist.

MCNUJC is also India’s first university for journalism and mass communication and is approved by University Grants Commission. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities.

MCNUJC Eligibility Criteria for taking admission into the courses

The following are the eligibility criteria for taking admission into the MCNUJC-

MA

The candidates are required to have a graduation degree from a recognized university

MCA

The candidates must have a graduation degree in BCA/ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent OR BSc/ BCom/ BA with Mathematics as a subject in Class 12 or graduation with additional bridge courses with 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for reserved category students)

BCA

The candidate must have passed class 12^th from a recognized board of central board or state board 

BSc

The candidate must have passed class 12^th from a recognized board of central board or state board 

MBA

The candidates are required to have graduated in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates)

MSc

The candidates are required to have a graduation degree from a recognized university

MJ (MA Journalism)

The candidates are required to have a graduation degree from a recognized university

BTech

The candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics/ Mathematics/ Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/Information Technology/ Biology/ Informatics Practices/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational subject/ Agriculture/ Engineering Graphics/ Business Studies/Entrepreneurship (any of the three) with 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category candidates)

Admission Into Makhanlal Chaturvedi University

Admission into Makhanlal Chaturvedi University is based on the entrance examination organized at the national level.
