Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen Admission Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for the Jawahar Narvodya Vidyalaya admission:

Class 6th

• If you belong to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen then the chances of you getting into the JNVs become easy as 75% of the reservation will be provided, and the rest 25% will be provided to the other nearby districts
• For class 6th admission, the candidate must have completed his/her education of class 5th from the same district which is a government-aided/government-run school
• The candidate’s age must be in between 9 to 13 years of age

Class 9th

• If you belong to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen then the chances of you getting into the JNVs become easy as 75% of the reservation will be provided, and the rest 25% will be provided to the other nearby districts
• For class 9th admission, the candidate must have completed his/her education of class 8th from the same district which is a government-aided/government-run school
• The candidate’s age must be in between 13 to 16 years of age

Class 12th

• If you belong to the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen then the chances of you getting into the JNVs become easy as 75% of the reservation will be provided, and the rest 25% will be provided to the other nearby districts
• For class 12th admission, the candidate must have completed his/her education in class 10th from the same district which is a government-aided/government-run school

Jawahar Narvodya Vidyalaya Selection Test

The selection of the candidate will be based on the merit list prepared by the JNV Samiti. You have to score passing marks to become eligible for admission. A total of 80 students will be shortlisted from the Raisen district. The details on the JNVST are as follows:

How to Apply for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen Admission 2025 - 2026?

You can follow these steps to apply for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen admission-

• Visit the official website of the Jawahar Narvodya Vidyalaya (navodaya.gov.in) and click on the register button
• After clicking on the register button, login to your account using your login credentials

JVS Waitlist

JVS also releases two waitlists for the vacant seats which may arise to the unwillingness to non-submission the documents. Any candidate from the waiting list if wanted admission can block his/her seat by visiting the selected JVS school premises and depositing the documents.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti application submission's last date was September 23, 2024, which was later extended till October 7, 2024. 

Can I submit an application again next year (Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen Admission 2025-26), in case of an unsuccessful attempt this year?

No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time. So the child will not be eligible for Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen application 2025-26.

Is there any negative marking for the Navodaya Vidyalaya Raisen admission test?

Yes, there is a negative marking for the wrong answer of 1/4th i.e., 0.25 marks are deducted from the total.
