Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for the Navodaya Vidyalaya admission–
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 Class 6th
- The candidates must belong to the district where the Narvodya Vidyalaya is located
- The candidate must have completed his/her education of class 5th from a recognized school which is Government/Government-Aided, other recognized school or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district
- The candidate’s age must be in between 9 to 13 years of age
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Class 9th
- The candidates must belong to the district where the Narvodya Vidyalaya is located.
- The candidate must have completed his/her education of class 8th from a recognized school which is Government/Government-Aided, other recognized schools or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district.
- The candidate’s age must be in between 13 to 16 years of age.
Eligibility for Class 12th
- The candidate must have completed his/her education of class 11th from a recognized school which is Government/Government-Aided, other recognized schools or ‘B’ Certificate Competency Course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district.
- The candidate’s age must be in between 14 to 18 years of age.
- A merit list will be prepared based on the marks scored by the candidate in class 10th.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission Application Form 2024- 2025
You can follow these steps to fill out the application form for Navodaya Vidyalaya–
- Visit the official website of the Narvodya Vidyalaya and navigate to the admission section followed by clicking on the link to register for the class you want to take admission.
- Now, get yourself registered using your email ID and password followed by logging into your account
- After logging in, fill out the application form with details like name, address, education details, father’s name, etc.
- Now, upload the documents mentioned below followed by clicking on the pay button.
- After successful payment, make sure to take a printout of the application form and payment receipt for the future use.

Narvodaya Vidyalaya Admission Reservation Policy
The following are the reservation policy for admission into the Navodaya Vidyalaya school–
- 75% of the seats are reserved for the candidate belonging to the districts from rural areas
- 25% are reserved for the candidate belonging to other districts
- SC/ST candidates will be provided with the reservation as per the NVS policy
- 33% of reservation is provided to the girl child
- 3% reservation for the disabled children
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 class 6th Result
The result for the Navodaya Vidyalaya will be released from the official website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya. You can download the scorecard from the official website. A merit list will be prepared wherein, the candidates will be provided with a ranking based on the marks scored, and based on this merit list, the candidate can take admission.

For Rural Candidates:
The admission to the candidate will be provided by following this criterion-
- The candidates belonging to a district will be given 75% of the admission seat provisionally selected from the rural areas. The remaining seat is open to both urban and rural area candidates of the district.
- The candidates applying for admission under the rural quota must have studied in class-III, IV, and V, from the Government/Government Aided/Government, recognized schools located in rural areas.
- The candidates studying under the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) will have to produce a rural status certificate issued by District Magistrate/Tehsildar/Block Development Officer
For Urban Candidates:
The following are the admission criteria followed for the Urban candidates-
- The candidate belongs to the urban locality meaning the candidate has studied in a school located in an urban area for sessions in Class III, IV, and V and will be provided admission under Urban
For Transgender:
There are no separate reservations for the transgender category candidate and will be included in the boys’ category for reservation and under various subcategories like Rural, Urban, OBC, SC, ST, and Divyang
