Inspire Scholarship is a program under the government of India organized by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) to encourage students studying science to take up research as a career. The programs aim to create interest and provide incentives and opportunities for bright minds pursuing the field. The selected students under the program will receive a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per month and an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20000/- are granted during the first 3 years.
After, that the stipend is increased to Rs. 7000/- monthly and Rs. 28000/- under Annual contingency grant. The KVPY exam is conducted annually by the Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru. Eligibility criteria for Inspire scholarship 2023
The eligibility criteria for Inspire scholarship exam 2023 is listed as follows:
- SA Stream:
- Applicants should be currently in the 11th standard or equivalent class from a recognised board, with Mathematics and Science as mandatory subjects.
- Applicants should complete their 10th standard or equivalent examination with at least 75% marks in aggregate.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories are given a relaxation of 10%.
- SX Stream:
- Applicants should be currently in their 12th standard or equivalent class from a recognised board, with either Physics, Chemistry. Bio or Physics, Chemistry, Maths in their examination.
- Candidates should score at least 75% marks in aggregate in their class 10th.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories are given a relaxation of 10%.
- SB Stream:
- Applicants currently enrolled in the 1st year of their graduate programme in Basics Sciences are eligible to appear in this stream, provided they have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
- Candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in Maths and Science in their 12th standard or equivalent exam.
- There is a 10% relaxation in marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories.

The exam is conducted online through a Computer-based test. The medium of the questions in the paper is English & Hindi. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in the exam. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours. The total mark that can be scored is 100.

Admit Card
The admit card is released on their official website. The candidates can check their status by logging in to the website once in a while.
