ICFAI Business Schools Aptitude Test (IBSAT 2024) is an entrance exam for aspirants who wish to get into the MBA programmes offered by the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India (ICFAI) Business Schools (IBS). The IBSAT exam is conducted annually by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education.

There are 9 ICFAI Business Schools all over India. They are situated in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune. The selection for these reputed institutes is on the basis of the scores secured in the IBSAT exam of the year. Important dates to remember

The initial notifications are released from July 2024, with the registrations opening subsequently. The exam is to be completed by December 2024, and the result declaration will be completed by the month itself. Eligibility criteria for IBSAT 2024

The eligibility criteria for appearing IBSAT is to be fulfilled completely to be considered in the counselling process. The eligibility criteria include:

  • Applicant must be a citizen of Indian to be able to apply for the IBSAT exam.
  • The applicants must be at least 20 years of age at the time of admission.
  • Educational Qualification:
  • Applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised institution or university can apply for the IBSAT exam.
  • Applicants must receive at least 50% marks in the entrance test to be eligible to get admitted to the institution.
  • Applicants currently in their final year of graduation can also appear for the IBSAT exam, provided they complete the graduation by May 2024.
  • Only the applicants who graduated with their Bachelor’s Degree in the medium as English are eligible to apply for the exam. If not, they must appear for TOEFL/IELTS/NELT and provide a valid score by May 31, 2024.
  • The applicant should hold a valid scorecard of the NMAT/CAT/GMAT exam before appearing for the IBSAT exam.

Application Process

The application form for IBSAT 2024 is to be released by July 2024 and is to be filled online. The applicants who wish to apply for the exam can visit the official website www.ibsindia.org. The applicants who have filled the application form offline will be receiving the application number and password for future communication. The applicants are to keep the id and password safe till the completion of the counselling process. The applicants need to enter the correct personal, communication, and educational details in the required sections, and upload the necessary documents for successive verification. The hard copy of the documents may need to be submitted during the counselling. The applicants are advised to take a printout of the filled application form and keep it secured.

Application Fee

The application fees for the IBSAT exam amounts to Rs. 1800/-. The payment can be done via net banking or debit/credit card. For offline payment, the candidate can make the payment directly through an IBS centre.

Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted online through a computer-based test. The total duration of the IBSAT exam is 120 minutes. The medium for the question paper is English. The questions will contain 140 multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Each correct answer will be awarded 1 mark, and there will be no negative markings whatsoever. In the question paper there will be 5 sections.

Admit Card

The admit card is released on their official website. The candidates can check the application status and latest updates by logging in to the website once in a while. Once the admit card is published on the website, candidates are required to download and take a printout of the same and kept safe until the completion of admission procedures. Answer Key

The IBSAT answer key will be made available a few days after the exam via the official website. The answer key can be used to check the rough score you are bound to get. There will be no hard copies of the answer key provided to the applicants.

Result

The result of IBSAT 2024 will be published by the end of December 2024. The result is published online on their official website. The candidates’ names are released as a merit list on the basis of their scores. The merit list will be considered for shortlisting the candidates for counseling.

Counselling

The shortlisted candidates will undergo a group discussion, personal interview sessions. Those who clear these rounds are asked to fill in their preference of course and college. The seats are filled on the basis of their IBSAT score, GD-PI performance, and the availability of seats. Selected candidates are called to the campus for further admission procedures.
