FTII stands for Film and Television Institute of India which offers candidates admission into the institute via an entrance examination. It is commenced by Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) and Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) for admission. Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria that the candidate must have to participate in the examination-
Direction & Screen Play Writing, Electronic Cinematography, & Video Editing Acting
- Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from any recognized university
Sound Recording & Television Engineering
- Candidate must have qualified for a 12th-level exam with Physics as a compulsory subject
Art Direction & Production Design
- Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Applied Arts, Sculpture, Architecture, Painting, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or an equivalent diploma
FTII 2024 Registration Form
The following are the steps that you can follow to register for the FTII entrance examination-
- The registration for FTII can be done online by Visiting the official website of the FTII- https://www.ftii.ac.in/
- Click on the Registration button followed by clicking on the signup button
- Now, signup using mobile number, email, name, and other important details
- Confirm your registration using an email sent to you from FTII
- Now login to your website and click on the registration form
- Fill the form using correct details followed by uploading the document mentioned below
- Now payment page appears, you can pay the application fee using UPI, Credit/debit card, net banking, etc.
- After paying the application fee, download the Payment confirmation followed by a printout of the filled application form for future use

FTII 2024 Exam Pattern
The duration of the time needed to finish each section is 3 hours and the first section is 30 marks, whereas the second section is 70 marks making it a total of 100 marks for 100 questions. The following are the examination pattern of the IS entrance examination-

FTII Admit Card
The admit card is the most important document which enables the candidate to participate in the examination. If the candidate fails to present the admit card in the examination center then the candidate will not be allowed to participate in the examination. Some important guidelines are mentioned in the admit card the candidate must follow those guidelines. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website of the FTII.
FTII Result
The result of the FTII will be released on the official website of FTII. The scorecard usually released after4 days of examination. The FTII scorecard will be valid for 2 years from the date of examination.
FTII Admission Process
The admission into FTII will be based on the entrance examination. A merit list with a minimum cut-off mark will be released. Candidates who have scored more marks than the cut-off marks will be selected for the admission. After passing the entrance examination, the candidates will be contacted through a call letter. After getting the call letter, the candidate will have to block the seat by attending the counselling session.
FTII Counselling
Counselling is and event where the candidates who have passed the entrance examination seek admission. There are multiple colleges under a University both private as well government and counselling session is organised by the colleges to invite the candidates for admission. In this event, you have to visit the venue on the notified date with the necessary documents and confirm your seat. You have to select the college that you want to choose however the availability of the college also depends on the merit list and your ranking.
