DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad, a specialized scheme for Indian Citizens living outside of India, Foreign Students, Person of Indian Origin living abroad (POIs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf (CIWG), and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) who wants to study in India. This scheme was launched by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, for several UG and PG courses. DASA 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must belong to the category-NRI / PIO / OCI

For UG Course
- Candidate must qualify with a HSS/intermediate or equivalent exams from any recognized board or university with subjects like Mathematics & Physics subject & any one from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Computer Science and a minimum score at least 60 percent or 50 CGPA marks (on a 10-point scale)
- Candidate appearing in the qualifying examination are also eligible
- Candidate must be born on the dare or after October 1, 1996
For PG Courses
- For UG Engineering programmes, candidate must hold a 4-5 years of graduate degree with a minimum score of at least 60 percent points, or 50 (CGPA)
For M.Tech / M.Arch / M.Des / M.Plan
- Candidate should have scored a total of 300 GRE (Quantitative + Verbal) Revised General Tests.
For MBA
- Candidate must have scored at least 480 GMAT MBA Test scores
DASA 2024 Application Form
The application form of DASA 2024 can be filled online. You can follow these steps to fill the application form-
- Visit the official website of DASA by following this link- https://dasanit.org/
- Now select whether the course option you want- UG or PG
- After selection of the course the screen will be redirected to a form online
- Once the application form is opened, you have filled the application form with correct details like name, address, etc.
- After filling the form, uploading the scanned copy of the required documents must be done
- Now payment window will open, Submit the application processing fee using Debit/ Credit Card, UPI etc.
- Take a print out of the application form and the payment status for future use

Required Documents Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries (CIWG) category
- Copy of Parent’s visa.
- Copy of the passport of the parent working in the gulf.
- Certificate from the company/organization as proof that the parent is working in the gulf country
- Copy of Parent’s Work Permit (If any)
- 12th standard or equivalent is not completed yet, the candidate has to give an undertaking in the online application.

DASA Selection Process
The selection will be based on merit list prepared by marks scored in entrance examination. The selection for Undergraduate programs will be made in 4 rounds while PG will be selected in 2 rounds. For each round a different merit list will be prepared and the candidate who does not confirm their seat will not be considered on 2nd and 3rd round. Similarly, for PG course, merit list of round-1 will be used to provide admission and a new merit list will be prepared.
The admission will be based on the national level entrance examination for admission into institutes like JEE Mains, GATE, GMAT etc. The application form of entrance examination can be filled by the candidate under DASA scheme and the documents required by the candidates are slightly different for students seeking admission under DASA scheme. DASA Counselling
Counselling is where the candidates who have passed the entrance examination seek admission in the eligible college. Counselling session is organised by the university to invite the candidates for admission. In this event, you have to visit the venue on the notified date with the necessary documents. You have to select the university campus that you want to choose however the availability of the college also depends on the merit and confirm your seat.
