AMIE Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of AMIE is as follows-
- Candidate are required to have cleared class 12 from a recognized board with physics Chemistry & math as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks
- Candidates who have completed the 3-year Polytechnic Diploma in any division of engineering are also eligible

AMIE Admission Process
The Application form of AMIE can be filled online. The following are the steps by step application process-
- Visit the official website of the AMIE- https://www.ieindia.org
- Click on the ‘New Candidate Registration’ and start filling in the required details like email ID password etc.
- Now, verify the email by clicking on the verification link send by AMIE
- Now, Log in to your account and click on the apply button
- A form will appear, fill the form with correct information
- Now upload your scanned passport size photograph
- Now you have to upload the scanned copy of all the certificates and documents mentioned below
- Now a payment gateway will open where you have to pay the application fee using Credit/Debit, UPI, Net Banking, or challan
- Take a print out of the payment confirmation slip and the application for future uses
Documents required for AMIE Admission
The following are the list of documents required for AMIE Admission-
- Scanned Passport Size photograph under 1 MB
- Scanned copy of class 10th & 12th passed certificate/ Mark Sheet showcasing all the marks obtained in the subjects

Application Fee
The application fee for the AMIE entrance examination is Rs.2000/-(foreign Students-$150) which you can pay online using credit/debit card, UPI, Net banking etc.
AMIE Examination Pattern
Section A (NON-Diploma):
Applicable for Technician Members of IEI only
Section A (Diploma):
Applicable for Senior Technician Members of IEI only
Section B:
The Technician and Senior Technician Members of IEI who have completed Section-A or exempted from Section-A in their respective Scheme are eligible to appear in Section B Examination.
The Corporate Members of IEI (FIE / MIE / AMIE) may also appear in Section B examination after registration in Section B directly in any discipline after Section B registration provided that member has not completed section B examination of IEI or Graduate degree in engineering in the same discipline earlier.
