Application Fee
Pay the application fee of WB SET 2025 via any of the modes amongst credit card/debit card/internet banking or through E-Challan. The application fee is according to the categories such as:
- OBC: Rs. 500/-
- ST/SC/EWS: Rs. 250/-

Eligibility Criteria

- Applicant must have attained at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree OR equivalent examinations from Universities/Institutions recognized by UGC. Whereas 50% marks for OBC/SC/ST/Persons With Disability (PWD) category.

- There is no higher age limit to apply for SET.

Selection Process

- The WB SET is consisted of 2 papers. Both the papers comprises of Multiple Choice Questions.
- The questions in paper I is based on general nature and aim to access teaching, research aptitude of the applicant.
- Paper II is designed to test the reasoning ability comprehension, divergent thinking and general awareness of the applicant.
- Candidate must have attained at least 40% aggregate marks for General class to qualify the test while 35% marks for reserved category applicants (SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and PWD).
Admit Card
Here are the details about the admit card:
- Applicant who have filled the application form must collect the admit card for the exam.
- The Exam conducting authority is responsible for issuing the admit card.
- Download the admit card online by entering the login credentials such as User Name, User ID etc.
- It is mandatory to carry the admit card on the day of examination.
- The admit card consisted of crucial details such as applicant’s name, roll number, etc.
- No candidate is allowed to enter the examination hall without admit card or hall ticket.
