IISER Tirupati Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for taking admission into the IISER Tirupati–
- The candidates must be a citizen of India or OIC/PIO card holders
- The candidates must have passed class 12th from a recognized board with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved category candidates) in the Science stream i.e. Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics
- The candidate can take admission into the institute using three channels- JEE Advanced, SCB, or KVPY and has to score good marks in the respective entrance examination

IISER Tirupati Admission Process
Admission into the IISER Tirupati can be done through three different channels, which are as follows-
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) channel
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is a scheme by the Department of Science and Technology by the Government of India to promote the scientific minds in the country by attracting exceptionally high talented individuals into various universities and institutes across India by providing them with the fellowship program.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Advanced)
The candidates taking admission using this channel must score a high ranking as per the institute’s cut-off mark. In this channel, while filling the counseling of JoSAA, the candidates must choose IISER as an option to be eligible for admission.
State and Central Boards Channel (SCB)
The candidates who want to take admission into the IISER will have to participate in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) and score high ranking in the examination for getting admission into the institute.
