Agneepath Scheme is an Indian Armed Forces recruitment scheme for candidates interested in serving the nation in tri-services i.e., Indian Army, Indian Airforce, and Indian Navy. This is short service-based recruitment in which candidates can serve the army for 4 years and then will be laid off with a lot of retirement benefits.
The individuals who will be selected for the Agneepath Scheme will be called Agneevers, the job profile of these individuals will be of General Duty & Tradesman. Agneevers is a separate rank in the Indian Armed Forces and does not in any way replace normal recruitment i.e. Indian Army, Navy, and Airforce will carry on with their recruitment rallies and examinations separately.
Agneevers are just additional support and the administrative division’s sole purpose is to look after non-combatant tasks within the Armed Forces. Various State Governments and Central governments have released additional social net or post-retirement benefits for these candidates in terms of jobs, money, education, etc.
