AFCAT or Air Force Common Admission Test is an entrance examination that offers candidates recruitment in Indian Air Force as a Commission Officer. The candidate will be offered Commissioned Officers in Flying, Ground Duty (Non-Technical), and Ground Duty (Technical) Branches. Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for AFCAT is as follows-
Flying Branch
- Candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum of 60% marks and they should have Physics and Mathematics subject at 12th class
- The age criteria is between 20 to 24 years of age
Ground Duty (Technical)
- Candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum of 60% marks and they should have Physics and Mathematics subject at 12th class
- The age criteria is between 20 to 26years of age
Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
- Candidate must have completed graduation in any discipline with minimum of 60% marks and they should have Physics and Mathematics subject at 12th class
- Candidate must have scored 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India)
- The age criteria is between 20 to 26years of age
Physical Standard

- The minimum height for entry into ground duty branches will be 157.5 cm. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height can be reduced by 2 cm (155.5 cm)

AFCAT 2024 Application Form
The application process for AFCAT can be filled online and the candidate can follow the step by step process is as follows-
- Visit the official website of AFCAT and click on the apply button, the official website of AFCAT is https://afcat.cdac.in/
- The application form will be opened, fill the form with accurate information and click on the Next button
- After that, you have to upload the digital photograph, signature, and other documents
- Now Click on the submit button, a new screen with all the information filled will appear, review the application and check for all the details again
- Now pay the fee online using Netbanking, credit card, or debit card
- Your application is filled, take a print out of the application and payment receipt for future use

AFCAT 2024 Application Fee
The Application fee for AFCAT is Rs.250/- which can be paid online using a Credit/Debit card, UPI, Net banking, etc. Candidates with Meteorology entry and NCC Special entry are exempted from paying the examination fee.
AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024
The examination pattern for AFCAT is 300 marks with 100 MCQ questions. For each right answer, 1 mark will be provided and 1/3rd mark will be deducted if the wrong answer is written. The following are the examination pattern for AFCAT-

Admit Card
The admit card is the most important document, without this the candidates will not be allowed to give the AFCAT exam. You can download the AFCAT admit card from the official website of AFCAT. The date for downloading AFCAT admit card will be released later and you can keep checking our website. The following are the steps for downloading AFCAT admit card which is as follows-
- Visit the official website of the AFCAT
- Log in to your account user ID and Password
- Navigate to the download admit card button. After the page opens fill in your roll number along with other details and press enter
- A new window with your admit card will open take a printout and carry it with you to the examination center
AFCAT 2024 Result
The result for AFCAT can be checked online using the AFCAT website. After the release of the result, the AFCAT will release the merit list and cut-off marks. Cut-off marks will be the minimum marks required by the candidate to further get selected for the physical test.

AFCAT 2024 Selection Procedure
The selection process will be done by the AFCAT. A merit list will be prepared based on the written exam and the shortlisted candidates will be invited for SSB interviews. If the candidate successfully passed the interview then the candidate will have to go through a medical test and document submission process.
Documents Required for SSB Interview
The following are the documents required by the candidates to bring during the SSB interview-
- AFCAT 2024 Admit Card
- Original Matriculation/ Secondary School Certificate and Mark sheets issued by CBSE/ ICSE/ State Board. No other certificate will be accepted for verification of Date of Birth.
- Original Marks Sheet & Certificate of 10+2 (issued by the relevant Board).
- Original/ Provisional Graduation Degree/ Post Graduation Degree Certificates and Mark Sheet of each year/ semester issued by University Only for verification of educational qualifications to check eligibility for the course. Provisional Certificate issued by college Principal is not acceptable. However, Provisional Degree Certificate issued by the University is acceptable.
- In case of final year/ semester students, a Certificate from the College Principal with proper stamp and seal of the Institution
- Two attested photocopies of each of the above mentioned certificates.
- Original NCC Certificate (if applicable).
- NOC from employers for candidates working in Central/ State Govt. or Public Sector Undertakings.
- Original valid Commercial Pilots’ License, issued by DGCA, if applicable.
- Inbound Railway Ticket/ Bus Tickets. (For refund of Travelling Allowance)
- Candidates are also advised to bring twenty copies of recent passport size colour photographs taken in light coloured clothes against white background for documentation.
