Gujarat Post Graduate Post Graduate Entrance Test (Gujarat PGCET) is a state-level examination for aspirants for admission in professional courses in M.Tech/M.E. to reputed institutes in Gujarat. The selection is open to all candidates that have qualified for the GATE exam, and need not appear for it to be considered in the admission process. The Gujarat PGCET is conducted annually by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC). Eligibility criteria for Gujarat PGCET 2024
The eligibility criteria for Gujarat PGCET is to be met entirely for applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria are given below:
- Candidates should currently be a resident of Gujarat.
- The candidates must pass their 12th class from the state of Gujarat.
- The candidates must hold a B.Tech/B.E. degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
- There is a 10% relaxation in minimum marks for SC/ST/SEBC candidates.
- Candidates who have cleared the GATE exam are eligible to fill the Gujarat PGCET 2024 application form online and they need not take the entrance test.

Application Process
Students who wish to appear for the exam (who match the eligibility criteria) must acquire a PIN cover for Rs. 500/- from an ICICI bank. The PIN cover includes an ID and password which can be used for login. The applicants need to fill their application form by the start of July to avoid last-minute issues.

The application form is to be filled in entirely using the user-id and password provided with the PIN cover. The candidates are also required to scan and upload digital copies of the documents according to the conducting body’s instructions. Every detail in the application form must be double-checked to avoid mistakes. The application form must be self-attested and brought to the Help Centre along with the necessary documents for verification.
Application Fee
The application fee can be paid online. There are facilities for net banking, debit/credit cards, etc. The application fee is Rs. 500/- for all applicants.
Exam Pattern
The exam will contain objective questions only (MCQs). The medium of the questions in the exam is English. There will be a total of 100 questions to answer in the question paper. There will be no negative markings whatsoever. The total duration of the question paper is 90 minutes.

Admit Card
The admit can be availed and downloaded from the official website. The candidates can check the application status and get the latest updates by logging in to the website once in a while. Once the admit card made available and ready to download on the official website, candidates can download and take a printout of the same. Admit cards are mandatory for appearing in the examination.

The sample papers for each branch is made available on the website for the applicants to know what to expect in the original examination. Answer Key
The Gujarat PGCET 2024 answer key is provided after few days of the exam. The answer key can be used to evaluate the entrance score that the candidate is bound to receive based on his/her performance in the exam.
Result
The result of Gujarat PGCET 2024 is published by the end of July 2024. The result is published online on their official website. The candidates’ names are released as a merit list on the basis of their scores. The merit list will be considered for shortlisting the candidates for counselling.
Counselling
The shortlisted candidates can take part in the counselling process online. The applicant must select a course and institute of preference. This preference is considered for the allotment process.
Seat allotment of Gujarat PGCET 2024
