What is NEET U Entrance Exam?
As per the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, Section 14 NEET is a medical entrance test for Under Graduate Medical courses. After clearing the examination the candidate will be eligible to take admission to medical institutions across the country. AIIMS and JIPMER are some of the most famous institutes in India that come under this entrance examination.

Education Qualifications
- The candidate must have passed or appeared in the class 12th Class examination or any equivalent High School qualification examination
- The candidate must have physics, chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology, and English as the major and mandate subjects in the class 12th or equivalent examination
- There is a minimum mark scored criteria that a candidate must follow which depends on the category of the candidates. The following are the minimum marks criteria for each category
- General category – 50% marks in the qualifying examinations
- SC/ST/OBC category – 40% marks in the qualifying examinations
- Physically handicapped: General category – 45% marks in the qualifying examinations
- Physically handicapped: SC/ST/OBC category – 40% marks in the qualifying examinations
Nationality
- The candidate should be an Indian citizen
- If the candidate does not reside in India then he or she should be an OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) or Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)
- Foreign Nationals
- Candidates from the J&K state are eligible to appear for NEET 2024 under the All India 15% quota only by self-declaration. Such candidates can also get admitted to AFMC, Pune
- Candidates from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh get a 15% All India Quota scheme
Age Criteria
- There is a minimum age criterion of 17 years of age and a maximum age criteria of 25 years of age, however, for the reserved category SC/ST & OBC, the age limit is 30 years
How to Apply for NEET 2024?
The following are the steps that the candidate must follow to apply for the NEET which is as follow-
- Visit the official website of the NEET- ntaneet.nic.in
- Register on the website with your email ID, mobile number, name
- You have to fill out the application form by navigating to the application form
- Some of the details that you must fill in on the application form are Date of Birth, Category, Nationality, qualification details such as Year of Passing, Percentage of marks, etc, details to contact, and choice for the exam center.
- Now click on the proceed button
- Now upload the necessary documents mentioned below
- A payment page asking to pay the application fee will appear. You can pay your application fee using a credit/debit card, UPI, Bank Challan, etc.
- A confirmation page will appear that you have to download the payment fee confirmation as well as the application fee for future use
Document Required for Applying NEET
The following are the necessary document that you must upload on the website while filling the application-
- The Scanned image of the Passport size Photograph of the candidate should be in JPG/JPEG format and the Image size should be between 10Kb to 200Kb.
- The Scanned image of the Signature of the candidate should be in JPG/JPEG format and the Image size should be between 4Kb to 30Kb
- The Scanned image of the Left-Hand Thumb Impression of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 10Kb to 50Kb
- The Scanned image of the Class 10th Certificate of the candidate should be in JPG format and the Image size should be between 100Kb to 300Kb

NEET UG Result 2024
NTA shall declare the result on a tentative date of the first week of June 2024. The candidate has to visit the official website of NEET and navigate to the result tab to check his/her result. You must download the result and carry it on to the counseling session. The following are the steps that you can follow to download the NEET Result online-
