ACET stands for Actuarial Common Entrance Test conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI). The Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) is a statuary body responsible for managing actuaries in India. It was established by an Act of Parliament under the Actuaries Act 2006. ACET Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for the ACET entrance examination-
- The candidates having 10+2 or equivalent examination can participate in the ACET entrance examination
- The candidates who are appearing for the 12th examination can also participate in the entrance examination
ACET Application Form 2024
You can follow these steps to apply for the ACET Application Form-
- Visit the official website of the Institute of Actuaries of India and navigate to the Become an Actuary tab followed by clicking on the ACET button
- Now, click on the online admission button followed by getting yourself registered using your email Id and password
- After registration is complete, you’ll have to login into your account using your login credentials
- After logging in, you’ll have to fill out the application form with details like name, address, educational qualifications, etc.
- Now, upload the documents mentioned below followed by paying the application fee
- You can pay the application fee using your credit card/debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.
- Now, download the application form and payment receipt or take a printout of them

ACET Application Fee
The application fee for the ACET is Rs.3000/- which can be paid using online means like credit card/debit card, net banking, UPI, etc.
ACET Examination Pattern
A total of 3 hours will be provided to the candidates for taking the examination with 70 MCQ-based questions. There will be no negative marking or wrong answers and the following are the distribution of questions based on the marks-
- 45 questions – 1 mark each
- 20 questions – 2 marks each
- 05 questions – 3 marks each

ACET Admit Card 2024
The admit card for ACET 2024 is not yet released, we will update the admit card status once the examination authority releases the admit card for the ACET entrance examination.
The admit card is an important document that you’ll have to carry with you to the examination center. If you fail to showcase your admit card then your examination will be canceled. You can download the admit card from the official website of the IAI.
ACET Result 2024
The result for ACET 2024 is not yet released, we will update the result once the examination authority releases the result for the ACET entrance examination.
ACET Admission Process
The qualifying mark for the ACET application form is 50% and the candidates who have scored below 50% will have to take the examination again. After clearing the examination, the candidates can pursue the IAI-run Actuarial course.
To become an Actuary, the candidates must pass 15 papers in four stages which are as follows-
- Stage 1: Core Technical (CT)
- Stage 2: Core Application (CA)
- Stage 3: Specialist Technical (ST)
- Stage 4: Specialist Application (SA)
Passing the first two stages will make the candidates eligible to an Associate members of the Institute of Actuaries of India. You can become a fellow of the IAI only after passing all four stages and gaining at least three years of experience in the field.
