SSC JHT 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for participating in the SSC JHT entrance examination-
- The candidate must be a citizen of India or a subject of Bhutan or Nepal. A Tibetan refugee who came here before 1st January 1962 with the intention to settle here permanently or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling
- Master’s degree in either Hindi or English as compulsory subjects or elective subjects in their course or.
- The candidates who have gotten their Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi or English as main subjects or elective subjects.
- The age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years of age

SSC JHT 2023 Application Form
The Application form of SSC JHT can be filled online. The following are the steps by step application process-
- Visit the official website of the SSC JHT- ssc.nic.in
- Click on the ‘New Candidate Registration’ and start filling in the required details like email ID password etc.
- Now, verify the email by clicking on the verification link send by Jammu & Kashmir CET
- Now, Log in to your account and click on the apply button
- A form will appear, fill the form with correct information
- Now upload your scanned passport size photograph
- Now you have to upload the scanned copy of all the certificates and documents mentioned below
- Now a payment gateway will open where you have to pay the application fee using Credit/Debit, UPI, Net Banking, or challan
- Take a print out of the payment confirmation slip and the application for future uses

SSC JHT Examination Pattern
Paper-I
The Mode of examination is Online and a Duration of 2 hours will be provided to complete 200 questions. The examination will be objective-type question. 1 mark will be given for every right answer and for a wrong answer 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The selection of the candidates will be based on three stage-

- Paper-II
- Document Verification
The recruitment into SSC JHT will be based on the marks obtained in both the paper- Paper-I and Paper-II. The allocation of candidates in different Ministries/ Departments will be based on the overall performance in Paper-I & Paper-II and the choice of department and posts by them at the time of Document Verification.
